Nur Nurani, now a Senior Manager and Multi Property Director of Quality at a prestigious Resort, began his hospitality journey in the Philippines during University. His passion for people and diverse cultures led him to the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, where he fulfilled dreams of cooking for Michelin-star Chef Gary Rhodes and gained catering experience. In 2020, he realized his entrepreneurial dream, helping pandemic-impacted hotels and restaurants bounce back and even double their earnings. He states “Everyone who graduates from the Emirates Academy can go into the world of Hospitality and Business and be successful, thanks to what EAHM teaches them”.
Fida Faisal, a BBA alumna, epitomizes the academy’s impact on budding leaders. As the CEO of an online platform, she now connects the public with UAE businesses. Fida emphasizes how EAHM helped shape her career. Sharihan Al Mashary, a graduate of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) with a BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management, is a testament to the transformative power of this institution. Initially on a path toward aviation and aeronautical engineering, Sharihan stumbled upon the world of hospitality. Now appointed as the first female Emirati General Manager of one of the world’s most valuable real estate development companies, Sharihan has excelled in driving the day-to-day operations of the hotel, focusing on building Emirati talent in the hospitality sector. Her achievements were recognized with the Young Arabian Leader award at the Arabian Investment Hotel Conference in Brussels.
When asked to give a piece of advice to prospective EAHM students, Sharihan states “The hospitality industry is the industry that thinks about your work, your contribution and your results. It’s the results that take you forward: it is your personality, your talent and hard work.”
