Multiculturalism, global perspectives, a strong network and a curriculum that combines theory with hands-on experience; all while addressing major environmental, social and economic challenges—these are the key factors that place ESCP Business School’s MBA in International Management in the Top 30 Global MBAs in the prestigious annual Financial Times ranking. A major advantage of this programme is its flexibility, allowing students to pursue their studies online, in-person or in a hybrid format.
The highly respected Financial Times annual ranking, published at the start of 2024, ranked ESCP’s MBA in International Management 25th globally, up two places from the previous year in this competitive list of full-time MBAs. The programme is also ranked 8th in Europe and 3rd in France. “Our MBA in International Management is primarily designed for candidates at a pivotal stage in their careers, open to mobility, and ready to invest fully in professional training to access leadership roles within major international companies. Our programme allows them to change positions and often industry, sector or function, while achieving significant salary growth,” emphasises Amaury de Buchet, Affiliate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, responsible for the MBA’s Company Projects.
Boost Your Career with a Flexible MBA
Celebrating its bicentennial in 2019, ESCP is the oldest business school still in operation, with a firmly international and multicultural approach, as evidenced by its campuses in Paris, London, Madrid, Turin, Berlin, and Warsaw. “All campuses are centrally located, giving our students abundant opportunities to engage with political and economic actors in these capital cities, which provides invaluable insights into the challenges of international management. Studying in three different cities during the programme is a unique opportunity.” The MBA in International Management is structured into two terms: the first, from September to May, takes place on two campuses (Paris and either Berlin or London), while the second, focused on specialisation, runs from June to July in either Madrid or Turin, depending on the chosen track. To enhance student flexibility, one of these terms can now be completed online.
The curriculum spans three cities, with 99%* of graduates employed within three months of completing the programme—highlighting the MBA’s career-boosting potential. This global programme attracts students from around the world, with diverse backgrounds adding to the programme’s richness. With 27 nationalities represented in the 2024 class of roughly 80 students, ESCP’s MBA is recognized for the diversity of its students’ and professors’ profiles and professional experience. The Financial Times ranks it 3rd globally in this area, along with another 3rd-place ranking for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Net Zero education, which prepares students to contribute to sustainable transition and carbon neutrality goals. ESCP integrates sustainability into every aspect of its curriculum (courses, seminars, consulting projects, events, etc.), equipping future leaders to address both today’s and tomorrow’s major challenges.
Skill Development for Career Growth
The MBA programme focuses on practical case studies that allow students to develop skills while shaping their future career paths. “During the programme, students must complete two Company Consultancy Projects (CCPs).” These projects address real issues faced by organisations and are presented to groups of 4 to 6 students, supported by their professors, who guide them through methodology, planning, needs analysis, organisation, and networking when necessary. The CCPs are rigorous, requiring significant work over several weeks. “For the company, it’s as if a real consulting team is working on one of its issues. For students, it’s an opportunity to experience a real-world scenario, build professional contacts, and develop crucial skills in strategic planning, decision-making, communication and interpersonal relations,” continues Amaury de Buchet.
With a faculty of both academic researchers and active professionals, ESCP Business School maintains strong ties with the business world. Demonstrating its high academic standards, it has earned top international accreditations, thanks to the school’s commitment to continuous improvement. “We strive to keep our program among the most attractive, meeting both corporate needs and student expectations. For the first time this year, we’re experimenting with a hybrid model, allowing students to complete one term remotely,” adds Amaury de Buchet.
Diversity, flexibility and sustainability are essential strengths that keep ESCP Business School among the world’s best management schools, ensuring that students acquire advanced techniques and tools to support companies in an evolving environment.
