Live the Scandinavian lifestyle with cosy city life and beautiful nature right at the doorstep of one of the most international campuses in Europe: the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU)<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of Engineering is in the heart of the city of S\u00f8nderborg close to the Danish-German border in scenic surroundings directly at the Als Sound. Here you will meet students from all over the world, as there are more than 50 different nationalities amongst students and professors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city is a perfect setting to try out the Scandinavian way of life, offering a combination of a lively student environment, great quality of life and the famous Danish \u2018hygge\u2019. Forests, beaches and the sea provide for a wide range of leisure opportunities and an ideal balance of studies, relaxation and fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With your admission to an engineering programme, S\u00f8nderborg Municipality offers good, affordable places to live. The city has a fair amount of student housing \u2013 for example around 800 dorm rooms and apartments \u2013 and the selection of regular, privately owned apartments in S\u00f8nderborg is quite good. Everything is within your reach: vibrant night life, events, cosy caf\u00e9s, shopping facilities, historical traditions and culinary specialties from the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In S\u00f8nderborg, successful technology companies have been working with students for many years. You will have numerous opportunities to work together with companies during your studies as part of semester projects, practical assignments, engineering internships or theses projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
