In recognizing these innovative achievements<\/strong>, IE University recently hosted a dynamic event<\/strong>, Real Estate on the Spot: Women in Real Estate Career Paths<\/em>, celebrating the journeys and successes of women who are transforming the industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This insightful panel<\/strong>, guided by Carolina Gonz\u00e1lez-Vives<\/strong>, managing partner at HIDRA Design<\/strong> and director of IE\u2019s Master in Real Estate Development<\/strong>, brought together accomplished women from diverse backgrounds<\/strong>. Panelists included Celma de Almeida<\/strong>, CEO of Blue Buffalo Capital<\/strong> and co-founder of Lavradio Design<\/strong>; Andrea Palmer<\/strong>, chair of Climate Risk Working Group<\/strong> at PGGM; and Michelle Aoun<\/strong>, project manager at SBB Real Estate<\/strong>. Finding Purpose: the \u201cWhy\u201d behind their Real Estate Journeys<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Through the dialogue<\/strong> among these figures, each of them shared a unique path<\/strong>. Andrea Palmer talked about how she \u201cfell\u201d into real estate and soon saw an opportunity to promote sustainability<\/strong> within the industry. \u201cIf I join this firm, I can make Chicago real estate much more sustainable<\/strong>,\u201d Andrea shared, \u201cthere is no energy transition without real estate<\/strong>. It is an important part of the solution to the global challenges<\/strong> we are facing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
