1. St. George’s University is the largest source of physicians licensed in the US—more than any other medical school in the world1

In fact, SGU has actually contributed over 19,000 physicians to the global physician workforce, with students, graduates, and faculty from over 150 countries. They have practiced in every state in the US, as well as in more than 50 countries. 

2. Students at SGU can experience up to 4 countries, including Grenada, the UK, US and India

The three paths feature the same curriculum and provide a strong foundation for SGU’s future physicians. 

With SGU’s network of over 75 affiliated hospitals and health centers in the US and UK, all eligible students will have the possibility to complete their clinical rotations in these two countries.

3. USMLE performance

Most physicians will tell you the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Step 1 is the most important test they took during medical school. While choosing a medical school, it’s wise to look into pass rates and average scores across different programs. According to performance data released by USMLE, SGU graduates have 94% USMLE Step 1 pass rate for international first-time test takers over the last three years2

4.SGU admits multiple classes each year

Once you’ve decided that becoming a doctor is the right path for you and you’ve completed the necessary medical school prerequisites, it makes sense that you’re eager to begin as quickly as possible—after all, you’ve got years of education and training to get started on.

At SGU, you can get started a lot sooner. In addition to the traditional August start date, you can choose to start your medical school journey in August, September3, January, or April.

The True Blue campus offers the amenities and technologically advanced facilities of a modern institution. The campus owns 65 buildings on 42 acres of land, spread out in a peninsula in the southwest corner of Grenada, located in the West Indies.
