Global Ambitions, Dual Perspectives: ESCP’s Master in Management and Its Prestigious Double Degrees

Ranked #7 worldwide by the Financial Times (2025), the Master in Management at ESCP Business School stands out as one of the most international management programmes in the world. Highly personalised, it allows students to tailor their academic journey by choosing three specialisations from more than 70 options, across six European campuses and through over 40 double degree partnerships on five continents. The result is a learning experience that blends global exposure, professional excellence, and cultural discovery.

Expanding academic and professional horizons

Through the Master in Management, students can design a fully customised path, choosing among campuses in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Turin, and Warsaw, and completing a double degree with a prestigious partner institution such as Institut Français de la Mode (IFM), KUBS, Columbia University, HEC Montréal, Ferrandi, or Yonsei University.

For Raphaël Monges, currently enrolled in a double degree with Columbia University, the experience represents a major step toward his professional goals.

“Studying at Columbia has truly broadened my perspective. This double degree has exposed me to a completely different academic approach and allowed me to meet people from all over the world. Professionally, having access to both the ESCP and Columbia networks is extremely valuable, it gives me the chance to learn from others’ experiences and benefit from their advice.”

After preparatory classes in France, Raphaël joined ESCP and specialised in financial markets. He built Kryptosphere ESCP, the school’s blockchain and cryptocurrency student union, and also took a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence, which helped him develop a strong background.

“In my case, since it’s a double degree with Columbia Engineering, I believe the quantitative courses I took at ESCP, especially in the Financial Markets and Artificial Intelligence specialisations really made a difference,” he explains.

“Columbia is an Ivy League school, New York is the best city to work in financial markets, and this double degree allows us to meet people from all over the world and gives us the opportunity to work there legally for several years.”

A truly multicultural academic experience

For Gea Barbieri, from Italy, the HEC Montréal double degree was an opportunity to broaden her horizons and experience life in a new cultural environment.

“When I applied for the Master in Management programme at ESCP, I was already aware of the incredible opportunities the school offers through its partnerships with many prestigious universities around the world. From the very beginning, I was interested in pursuing a double degree, as I saw it as a way to broaden my academic and cultural horizons beyond Europe. HEC Montréal immediately stood out as my first choice. Its strong international reputation and academic excellence make it one of the most prestigious business schools in North America. Moreover, being located in Québec, where French is the main language, it perfectly combines my desire to experience a new cultural environment while continuing to study and improve my French.”

Now pursuing a Master’s in International Business, Gea finds the experience both challenging and rewarding.

“So far, it has been an incredible journey. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in International Business, and I find the classes extremely interesting and engaging. The program constantly challenges me and stimulates my critical thinking. The courses I’m taking, especially the electives I’ve chosen, are perfectly aligned with my interests and allow me to explore topics that are highly relevant to today’s global business environment.”

“This experience has allowed me to discover new cultures, meet people from all over the world, and build a truly international network. Living and studying in a new environment has also helped me become more adaptable, open-minded, and confident, qualities that I believe are essential both personally and professionally.”

The power of global learning

Whether in New York’s financial district or Montréal’s vibrant business community, ESCP students experience first-hand what it means to learn and grow in a global context. The double degree opportunities offered by the Master in Management not only enhance academic depth but also give students the flexibility and perspective needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
