Can international students enroll in Masters’ studies? How can I prepare?

If you already confirmed your participation, the next step is to better understand how to access the courses you are interested in. Taking part in the Open Day is an excellent opportunity to ask any questions during a live session. You can apply for admission to the Master’s degree courses if you have a Bachelor’s Degree and Italian or English language proficiency. In summary, B2 Italian language proficiency is required for Italian taught programs. C1 Italian proficiency is required for the MA in Specialised Translation and Conference Interpreting. B2 English language proficiency is required for English taught programs.

Can international students benefit from IULM housing services? Are there any requirements to access this service? International students have the chance to be hosted at the University Residences at a reduced rate of €300 per month. The Residence IULM is situated close to the famous Navigli Area, in the heart of the city. 

Does IULM offer international students scholarships or any financial support? 

Qualified students benefit from various scholarships to assist them through their academic careers. IULM University offers from 50% to 100% reduction on tuition fees, as follows:

  • The first 20 full-time students that enrolled on a 3-year Degree Course (the academic year 2022/2023) can receive a partial exemption of 50% on the tuition fee for the first year. Eligible candidates are those who have obtained an admission qualification abroad with a mark equivalent to at least 70/100, calculated on the basis of the formula provided for by the MIUR.
  • The first 20 full-time students that enrolled on a Master’s Degree Course (the academic year 2022/2023) can receive a partial exemption of 50% on the tuition fee for the first year. Eligible candidates are those who have obtained an admission qualification abroad with a mark equivalent to at least 80/110.
  • The first 20 most qualified students have the chance to benefit from up to 100% reduction on tuition fees, according to the following conditions:
    • 100% exemption on the tuition fee for the first year of the course for (full-time) students enrolled on a 3-year Degree Course in Interpreting and Communication; Tourism, Management and Culture; Arts, Media and Cultural Events, for the academic year 2022/2023 – based on merit requirement.
    • 100% exemption on the tuition fee for the first year of the course for (full-time) students enrolled on a 2-year Master’s Degree Course in Art, Valorisation and Market; Artificial Intelligence for Business and Society; Hospitality and Tourism Management, for the academic year 2022/2023 – based on merit requirement.

Eligible candidates are assessed on the basis of the admission qualifications obtained abroad and additional elements of merit, including the outcome of the admission test.

How are students with disabilities or learning disorders supported at IULM University? One of the priorities of IULM University is to develop inclusive policies in order to ensure equal access to culture and education. IULM Students with disabilities and SLDs (Specific Learning Difficulties) can count on “Diversamente”, the university service that identifies and gathers individual needs in order to develop personalized learning support strategies. 

What are the potential careers for IULM students? How does the university provide support in finding a job post-graduation?

International students can benefit from the Career Service Office, which monitors and promotes new job opportunities as well as organizes Orientation and Training events (Job Seminars, CV Checks, job interview preparation sessions, Business Coaching) to help students to enter the labour market.
